No dia 04 de Março a Blizzard publicou em seu site oficial duas oportunidades de emprego para o Brasil, sediados em São Paulo.

Um deles é Relações Públicas, representando a Blizzard junto aos canais de mídia e imprensa em geral.

O outro faz relação direta com o nível de presença que a Blizzard quer ter no Brasil: Community Manager Assistant (Assistente de Gerenciamento de Comunidade) leia-se por Fórum e/ou GM. Esta posição como disse anteriormente estará sediada em São Paulo, porém prevê um “estágio” de 6 meses meses no escritório central de Irvine,CA.

Assistant Community Manager – Brazil

Job Description

Blizzard Entertainment seeks an organized, sociable, and energetic person to provide assistance in Portuguese to our Brazilian players via our forums, websites, and social networking outlets. This person will work with other members of the global community team to relay feedback to the developers and the rest of the company and keep players informed about current plans, policies, and updates related to Blizzard Entertainment games. The assistant community manager is also responsible for contributing to the company’s various community websites and for representing Blizzard in meetings with the public and the press.

The ideal candidate would be an avid gamer with experience as a member or moderator of a forum-based community. An appreciation for the challenges of working across multiple regions, an even temper, and a passion for providing topnotch customer service in a fast-paced environment are essential. Also, this person would be highly motivated, conscientious, and detail-oriented, with exceptional communication skills in Brazilian Portuguese and English, with Spanish being a definite plus.

Please note that this position will be based in São Paulo, Brazil, with the first 6 months spent in Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities

• Read, moderate, and respond to postings in the Blizzard Entertainment forums and social networking outlets.
• Collaborate with other members of the global community team to develop and implement Blizzard’s community initiatives.
• Translate company communications between English and Brazilian Portuguese.
• Contribute to and executing community management strategies and procedures.
• Report relevant feedback on community activities to product and development groups.
• Investigate open topics with other teams at Blizzard Entertainment.
• Provide regular internal forum-feedback report
• Participate in and helping to coordinate fairs and event
• Assist other members of the community team with community-related task

Requirements

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Brazilian Portuguese, combined with a passion for gaming
• Ability to consistently execute good independent judgment, organize thoughts, and make decisions under time constraints and a full workload
• In-depth knowledge of Blizzard Entertainment games and a passion for online gaming
• Ability to work well with people of different languages and cultures
• Strong customer-service skills and a professional attitude
• Diligence to consistently follow up on open subjects and projects
• Willingness to work long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays, and be available on call
• Strong time-management and organization skills
• Available for periodic travel
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Pluses

• Strong written and spoken communications skills in Spanish
• Membership in a Blizzard Entertainment fansite
• Previous community-management and/or forum-moderation experience
• Previous PR and/or customer-service experience
